New Young Adult Author from Weymouth Mass - Small businesses are what make the world go round
I am going to start promoting other small businesses in the area. Remember when we support local businesses were are also supporting ourselves. No one ever talks about going to visit Walmart as a kid and seeing all the people from the neighborhood, rather we have memories of going to a local store, or coffee shop, or pizza parlor and those are what hold our memories. Like they said at Cheers, you want to go where everyone knows your name.
Here is a link to Young Adult novel that is available on Amazon. It was written by Tyler Swain a local author (authors are businesses too!!!!!).
Please check out the book here:

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had 2 clients contact me this morning that they received calls from the IRS threatening them with arrest for non-payment of taxes. If you get this type of call, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. It is a scam, they are trying to get you to give them a credit card number. The IRS will never call you to demand payment, also the IRS does not take credit cards.

Today I want to ask all of my faithful readers to go on over to Greenback Tax Services and check out some interesting articles on taxes for those who live outside the US. Yes, no matter where a US Citizen lives in the world they are required to file and pay taxes to the US Government. So if you are thinking of retiring to that Caribbean Island do your research first, you may get stuck with a large tax bill.
If you are a US Citizen living outside the US or know of one that needs tax help, or is behind on their taxes because they just did not know they had to file. Send them to Greenback Tax Services for help - they can ask for Lisa B.

Taking your parent's as dependents
As our parents age we must become their caretakers as they were ours when we were young. With this responsibility comes added expenses.
Do you support your older parents? Pay over 50% of their living expenses? Do your parent's have less than $3,950 in taxable income each (this does not include Social Security?
If all of the above are true, you may be able to claim one or both of your parents as dependents, even if they do no live with you. By claiming an exemption for your parents, step-parents or even in-laws you may be able to lower your tax burden. There is even a chance that it may be worthwhile to amend prior year returns to get over-payments refunded.
Boucher Tax and Accounting Services, LLC would be happy to help you determine if you could have or can in the future claim these dependents.

IRS 'GET TRANSCRIPTS' DATA BREACH
Recently the IRS announced a data breach. It seems that someone got a hold of all of the personal information for at least 100,000 people and with that information were able to get transcripts of taxpayers IRS accounts. The IRS servers themselves were not breached, but rather this group used information obtained elsewhere to answer all the verification questions on the IRS website (not an easy task) and were able to get transcripts on those accounts.
The IRS servers are safe and the Get Transcript system has been shut down.
